This vacuum sealer features a super-convenient built-in bag cutter and both wet and dry vacuum modes.  It is compatible with practically all brands of plastic sealing bags.

Why use a vacuum sealer?  Because:

  • Oxygen spoils food. By removing oxygen from the bag, you will avoid green fuzzy mold.
  • You will be able to equip and organize your freezer, with fresh food ready to be defrosted and served or fresh ingredients instead of freezer burned food filled with ice crystals which will probably end up in the trash can.
  • Foods that are vacuum sealed will generally last 5 times longer in your refrigerator than just placing them inside. This vacuum sealer will preserve the aroma, freshness and taste of cookies, fish, fruits, meats, vegetables or other food items for an average of 5 times longer compared to putting it in the fridge without sealing.  Meat: From 3 days to up to 15 days.  Fruits and Vegetables: Extended freshness from 1 to 7 days to 7 to 35 days.  Fish: From 3 days up to 12 days when stored in a refrigerator.
  • Frozen foods can last for months when vacuum sealed.
  • You can save money by buying food in bulk and repackaging in the small sizes that you will need for individual portions. (Also great for those times when your recipe calls for a tablespoon of cilantro, but you had to buy a much larger portion.  Don’t throw the excess away because it will wilt – vacuum seal the extra!)
  • Use the sealing function (without vacuuming) to reseal bags of chips or other products that should avoid exposure to air.
  • Outside of the kitchen, a vacuum sealer can protect vital documents (think birth certificates, car titles, your will) against water damage in case of a flood or burst pipe.
  • In your emergency kit, you can vacuum seal items that can degrade over time, like bandages or medications. It's also smart to seal stuff that shouldn't get wet, like matches.
